Treutlen County Commissioner
Joe C. Webb said the county's location is a strong
factor in its potential growth. "As the surrounding
areas continue to develop, this makes our community
a prime location for development," he said. Webb
praised Treutlen County's well-maintained roadways,
several of which have direct access to Interstate
16. Webb is also a lifelong resident of Treutlen County.
"I love the warm, supportive environment provided
by a small town and I'm proud of the strong sense
of community that's displayed by the people in the
community," said Webb. "Treutlen is a wonderful
religious and family-centered community." As
in many small Southern communities, the church plays
a strong role in the life of its people. Treutlen
has 40 churches, according to the Soperton/Treutlen
County Chamber of Commerce.
