Commentary...Pam Snyder
Pam Snyder, counselor
at Treutlen High School, began her teaching career
in Soperton in 1977 after graduating from college.
"I did not really plan to stay here very long,
but 24 years later I'm still here," said Mrs.
Snyder. "I cannot imagine living anywhere else.
I have had several offers in the past to move, but
I just feel more at home in Soperton than I do in
my own hometown." Mrs. Snyder attributes her
love of Soperton to its people. "I have had the
privilege to meet and get to know some of the kindest,
most caring, and genuine people that I have ever been
around," she said. "You can count on the
people here when times get tough."
