Commentary...Kregg Ricks
Kregg Ricks, a young
Treutlen County native who has recently returned to
teach at Treutlen High School, said that what makes
Treutlen home is the people. "I consider the
citizens of Treutlen County as family," he said.
"I like the close knit community." Ricks
is one of approximately 80 public school teachers
employed in Treutlen County's public school system,
which operates an elementary, a middle school, and
a high school. "As a teacher, I want the children
of my hometown to have as many opportunities as possible
to succeed. I want to share as much as I can with
them, so that they can become productive citizens,
whether they live here or somewhere else."
