The Bank of Soperton began on June 6, 1903. In a span
of 10 years, it had outgrown its original location. The Bank began its
construction of its second location, which is now the Soperton News office.
Once again in the year of 1963, the Bank began another construction of
another facility. This time the bank was located across from the Treutlen
County Courthouse, which is now the Treutlen County Annex Office. In June
of 1999 we opened another new set of doors to The Bank of Soperton, which
is located at 617 Second Street North.
The Bank of Soperton offers all types of checking accounts
including non-interest bearing and interest bearing accounts such as Club
Accounts, Money Market Accounts, Premium Money Market Accounts, Now and
Super Now Accounts. We offer free checking to students and senior citizens.
We also offer regular savings accounts, time certificates from 91 days
to three years and IRA's. There are no monthly service charges for savings
accounts for minor children. The excess withdrawal fee is applicable for
minor accounts.
We provide all types of consumer loans including personal
expenditures, auto and truck financing and real estate financing.
We offer Traveler's Checks for nominal fee of $1.00 per
$100.00 purchase. There is no charge for the purchase or redemption of
EE Bonds. We provide incoming and outgoing wire transfers with a charge
of $25.00 for domestic transfers and $50.00 for international transfers.
We provide bank by mail and night deposit services as
well as a 24 hour telephone banking service called On-Call at 912-529-4038.
The fee for a transfer requested via the On-Call system is $3.00. Funds
may be transferred between checking and savings accounts. We also provide
ATM services and a Master Money Card service and cash advance services
on most major credit cards with a fee of $5.00 for cash advances.

or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law. For example,
it is our policy not to reveal specific information about customer accounts
or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for
their independent use, except for the exchange of information with reputable
information reporting agencies to maximize the accuracy and security of
such information or in the performance of bona fide corporate due diligence
or business matters.

The Bank of Soperton is committed to the security of our customer's financial
and personal information. All of our operational and data processing systems
are in a secure environment that protects account information from being
accessed by third parties. We maintain and grant access to customer information
only in accordance with our internal security standards.
At The Bank of Soperton, employee access to personally
identifiable customer information is limited to those with a business
reason to know such information. Employees are educated on the importance
of maintaining the confidentiality of customer information and on these
privacy principles. Because of the importance of these issues, all employees
of The Bank of Soperton are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality
of customer information and employees who violate these privacy policies
will be subject to disciplinary measures.
